Presented in French and English, Moridja Kitenge Banza : mille et une façons d’en parler / A Thousand Ways to Talk About It is the first monograph dedicated to the Canadian visual artist of Congolese origin.

Known for his dynamic works shaped by history, memory, and identity as connected to the lived diasporic experience, this monograph chronicles Kitenge Banza’s sweeping, multidisciplinary artistic practice. Texts by Diane Gistal, Julie Alary Lavallée, Cheryl Sim, and Pedro Monaville focus on the geopolitics, culture, religion, and iconography of the Kitenge Banza’s lived context. More than 100 artworks offer readers a view to Kitenge Banza’s subversive blend of reality and fiction that questions and challenges discourses of power while opening new spaces for marginalized histories.

Published in collaboration with PHI, the book will be available in April 2026.
