Promotions at Figure 1 Publishing
Figure 1 is delighted to announce several promotions within the company as it heads into its tenth anniversary this fall:
Steve Cameron moves from Senior Editor to Associate Publisher. He will focus on building the house’s program of non-fiction illustrated titles, in both established and new categories, and will continue to develop and edit titles.
Michael Leyne, recipient of the 2022 Tom Fairley Award for excellence in editing, moves from Senior Editor to Editorial Director. He will provide editorial oversight for the publishing program and guide in-house editors, while continuing to acquire, develop, and edit titles.
Mark Redmayne, formerly Marketing Manager, has been named Director of Marketing. He will lead all marketing and publicity efforts for the company’s list as well as Figure 1’s corporate marketing strategies.
Aleisha Smith, formerly Publishing Coordinator, has been promoted to Sales & Marketing Coordinator. She will provide support to both departments, including digital marketing and the design of sales materials.

The promotions officially take effect July 1, 2022.
