Figure 1 Publishing Strengthens Cookbook Program
Senior Editor, Michelle Meade, now to lead Figure 1 Publishing’s cookbook program for western North America.
Originally from Vancouver, Meade has spent the last fifteen years working for publishing houses in New York and London. At Phaidon, Meade developed and edited a variety of critically acclaimed cookbooks, including the Italian classic The Silver Spoon, the New York Times bestselling Mexico: The Cookbook by Margarita Carrillo Arronte, The Cookbook Book by Florian Bohm and Annahita Kamali, and The Larousse Book of Bread by Éric Kayser.
“There has never been a more exciting time for cookbooks, and I am so excited to collaborate with some of the brightest talents in North America,” says Meade, who officially starts in her new role on February 1st. “I’ve been given the very clear mandate to do something extraordinary, something special, and I’m up for the challenge.”
