“The Okanagan Table” Lavender Bee’s Knees Recipe

Renowned for its bountiful fruit orchards, lush vineyards, and quality food artisans, the Okanagan Valley is a culinary destination steeped in local food traditions. The Okanagan Table presents a timeless collection of 80 simple and delicious recipes, which are inspired by honest flavors and seasonal local ingredients and designed for sharing with friends and family. We’re delighted to share this recipe to one of RauDZ’s signature cocktails – Lavender Bee’s Knees!

Lavender Bee’s Knees

Serves 1


This simple and delicious drink is the creation of our bartender Ben Hefford. Locally grown honey—with its many flavour nuances—is well worth sourcing. Honey and lemon are obvious friends, but the freshness of the lemon and the small amount of honey keep this cocktail from becoming something you’d stick a little paper umbrella into. It’s a grown-up drink for gin lovers.



2 fl oz Okanagan Spirits Gin

1 fl oz lavender honey

1/2 fl oz fresh lemon juice

3 dashes Bittered Sling Grapefruit & Hops Bitters

Thin lemon wheel, for garnish



Fill a Boston shaker with ice, add the ingredients, and shake vigorously for 1 minute.


To serve

Strain into a coupe glass and garnish with a thin lemon wheel.
