We’re pleased to announce that Claudia Tavernese has joined Figure 1 Publishing in the role of Editor, effective August 2026. As part of Figure 1’s editorial team, Claudia will work closely with authors to develop and produce books from manuscript to finished publication.

Based in Toronto, Claudia brings more than twenty years of editorial and production experience working with museums, galleries, artists, and independent publishers across Canada and the United States. She also holds a PhD in art history. 

“I’m thrilled to join Figure 1 and be part of a team that shares my enthusiasm for beautifully made books. I’m looking forward to drawing on my experience in art publishing, while learning from my new colleagues and collaborating with authors to bring their ideas to life,” said Claudia.
