What better person to launch our new Q&A series than photographer extraordinaire, Fabrice Gaetan who is responsible for the stunning restaurant, chef and food shots in Montreal Cooks.
How do you normally start your day?
With my kids! 6.50 am – life is good.
What adjective best describes you?
Passionate, transparent. Which escalate in other adjectives, good & bad!
Do you like to travel? If so, what is your favourite place you’ve visited and why?
I am too curious not to travel! One of my favorite places is Costa Rica. First time 11 years ago, been there 3 times, and would not hesitate to go back again. The people are friendly, the culture, the food, the geography, the beach: love at first sight, splendid. I also liked to walk in the dense Panama jungle in flip-flops (not!) & sleep on the romantic Kuanidup island with its 412 steps circumference. The amazing Hawaii islands, North Carolina with the family, Quebec forests for fishing and hunting. Oh! And Vancouver. I love Vancouver. I will go again for sure. Argh. France too! See? I can’t decide which one is my favorite.
Where do you find your inspiration?
Throughout life. If you open your eyes, there is no end to inspiration.

Sensitivity. It applies to everything in my photography.
